Holiday Village Stroll

Schedule

December 12-14, 2025

Skating Party. Tree Lighting. Scavenger Hunt.
The weekend is full of fun events for the whole family!

Check back often as we will continue to add events as we get more details!
Events are subject to change without notice, but we will do our best to update as much as possible.

All Weekend

While you’re strolling down Main Street, take the time to hunt for the hidden holiday symbols in select businesses’ windows. For a chance to win a prize, fill out and submit a form online, or pick one up from the Visitor’s Bureau and drop the completed form in Santa’s mailbox at Mid’s Park.

We’re inviting all Lake Placid businesses to join us in celebrating the holiday spirit during Holiday Village Stroll.

As you stroll around town, look for the biggest and brightest decorations and vote for your favorite storefronts from December 12-14.  You can vote online or on the paper scavenger hunt form.

The winning business will receive a trophy (and bragging rights!)

The 2025 Holiday Stroll Coloring Sheet. Stop by the Visitor’s Bureau or print one out online.

Friday, December 12

2PM | USA Luge

This is a fun family-friendly activity in Lake Placid! This is your chance to get an exclusive tour of the USA Luge Indoor Start Training Facility. Tours include a ride down the ramp.

$20 per adult(kids over 11 years old)
$10 per kid (6 to 10 years old)
Free 5 years old and younger (the tour part lasts around 35–40 minutes so young kids might get restless)

Each tour ticket also serves as an entry into a giveaway for USA Luge merchandise.

About the space: In 2016, USA Luge received a commitment from New York State to significantly upgrade their indoor start training facility at a cost of $5 million. The original start ramps were completed in 1991 and featured three different ramp angles which merged into one uphill area to scrub off speed. The old building served its purpose for many years, but the athletes needed longer ramps to get into racing (laying down) position. The other sorely needed improvement was more workspace.

After nine months of construction, the building was completed in early 2020. The new building features two parallel ramps at four different angles, designed to simulate any start angle the team will encounter in World Cup, World Championship and Olympic competition. The team has four work areas to build sleds.

USA Luge is located at 57 Church St, Lake Placid, NY 12946
